How to Win: Faith and Belief

With Bo Bassett

I can’t even believe it still, SENIOR WORLD CHAMPION FOREVER!!

Anything is truly possible. Some of my greatest role models growing up were Spencer Lee, Kyle Snyder, Zain Retherford, and many more. I’ve always wanted to be like those guys. Fast forward to the 2026 Senior World Championships, and I got to compete alongside these warriors and chase down World Gold together! I’ve been able to grow closer with Kyle Snyder by sharing our faith and the Word each and every single day. God’s plan worked out so that we got to compete on the same days and give Team USA the jump start we needed in order to become individual and team champions of the entire world!

This moment came down to my faith and belief in the 15+ years of hard work through God's plan. It was God’s work. I could never have accomplished this on my own. God’s plan!! AGTG!

Matthew 19:26: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

I am already back to work because I know that God has a bigger calling on my life. My goal is to build God’s kingdom using the wrestling platform God gave me.

It’s time to outwork everyone and glorify the Lord with any blessings I receive. There has never been a back-to-back World Champion at 65 kg, and I believe I can be the first to do it. I have already started working toward it!!! Living the dream!!

I am also super excited to put it directly back on the line within a week, and God has given me the opportunity to GET to wrestle the #1-ranked guy in the country to officially start my college career. What a blessing! Let’s do it!!

2 Timothy 1:7: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, God has given us a spirit of strength, love, and discipline.”

1 Samuel 17:45: “Then said David to the Philistine, ‘Although they come against me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield, but I come against them in the name of the LORD’.”

I’ll never forget this week. WORK HARD. TRUST GOD.

It is an honor to compete for Team RUDIS and the USA. Strength and honor!
