How to Win: Trust The Work

How to Win: Trust The Work

With Marcus Blaze

Going into Worlds and my sophomore season, my mindset is simple: trust the work.

It’s easy to get caught up thinking about results and big goals, but those goals are achieved through what you do every day. Every practice, lift, recovery session, and small decision is another opportunity to get better.

I try to stay present and attack whatever is in front of me. Some days you feel great, and other days you don’t. I think those hard days are where you learn the most about yourself. You have to keep showing up, competing, and finding ways to improve.

When it’s finally time to step on the mat, I want to know that I’ve prepared the right way. If I’ve put everything I have into the process, there’s no reason to hesitate or overthink.

Trust your preparation. Compete with confidence. Let it fly.
