Win The Day Before You Win The Match
I don’t rely on how I feel that day. My confidence comes from the preparation, pushing yourself to your limits mentally and physically, but also being intentional in positions and training. When you stack enough of those days, you walk onto the mat already winning.
Let Your Work Be Louder Than Your Nerves
Every wrestler feels pressure. The difference is what you fall back on. When I step on the line, I remind myself: I’ve pushed myself through harder moments in practice than anything this match can throw at me. That belief only comes from preparation.
Control The Center, Control The Match
Because I trust my training, I’m able to attack first, set the pace, and force my opponent to react. Winning starts with owning the center and wrestling your match.
Stay Composed When It Gets Hard
When the match gets close and tough, trust that your training will take you through those situations. That makes it easier to stay calm, make good decisions, and keep scoring when others break.
Earn The Right To Be Confident
The hand raise is the final moment. The real win happens long before. It’s in the work that gives you the confidence to look at anyone across from you and know you’re more prepared than they are.
