The Next Generation, Kaito Morikawa

The Next Generation, Kaito Morikawa

Marysville, OH — RUDIS is proud to officially welcome Kaito Morikawa to Team RUDIS.

But the truth is, Kaito and his mother, Aya, have been with us for years.

A rising force in international freestyle wrestling, Kaito represents the next generation of Japanese excellence. A multi-time All-Japan National Champion, Cadet Asian Championship Silver Medalist, and a key contributor on Japan’s senior freestyle team, he has built his reputation through quiet consistency, elite precision, and unshakable humility. His effort for growth and patience for glory are results of staying in the fire.

Yet what defines the family most isn’t just what they have accomplished, but who they are.

Long before this announcement, Kaito and his family gave their hearts to RUDIS. In every moment, in every act of kindness, they lived the very spirit we were founded on. He’s not just joining the team today—he’s being recognized for what he’s already been.

“Some people wear the brand. Others build it. Kaito and his family have built it with love, loyalty, and heart. That’s what makes him RUDIS,” said Jesse Leng, RUDIS Co-Founder & CEO.

With a work ethic forged in the crucible of Japan’s national system and a vision focused on the future, Kaito’s values mirror our own. His journey is built on principle. His success on patience. And his presence speaks louder than words.

“For me, wrestling is about growth. About connection. About unity,” said Kaito. “It’s about the future, not just mine, but the future of what wrestling can be.”

At RUDIS, we believe that success is not built overnight, but forged through relentless discipline, deep belief, and daily commitment. Kaito embodies all of it. A technician and tactician. A quiet competitor whose presence commands respect. He is not only the future of Japanese wrestling, he’s a symbol of what’s possible when values and vision collide.

“Kaito is what it looks like when tradition meets evolution. A new era begins, one forged by principle, patience, and heart,” said Matt Dernlan, RUDIS Athlete Program Director.

We are honored to walk alongside Kaito and his family as they continue the journey on the world stage.

Welcome to Team RUDIS, Kaito.

Let the journey continue.
