Marcus Blaze was recently honored as the 2025 Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association (OHSWCA) Male Wrestler of the Year, a recognition of his unmatched dominance, highlighted by four state championships and an extraordinary 200-2 high school record. This prestigious award places him among Ohio’s all-time wrestling elite, celebrated for both his technical mastery and relentless competitive spirit. Off the mat, Marcus excels academically and gives back to his community, mentoring younger wrestlers at the Perrysburg Wrestling Club and the renowned Burnett Trained Wrestling Club. His selflessness was on full display during his senior season when he moved up two weight classes to help his team secure a historic state runner up finish—earning widespread admiration for his leadership and team-first mindset.
