DAVE SCHULTZ · 1959–1996
THE LEGEND LIVES ON
Dave Schultz lived the life of a warrior. An Olympic and World Champion, he drew inspiration from the legendary Japanese swordsman and philosopher Miyamoto Musashi, who believed that mastery was built through daily practice and dedication. Following Dave’s passing in 1996, the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club was founded to carry forward his legacy, becoming a home for wrestlers who shared his way of life. The Samurai became its emblem, representing the discipline, dedication, and pursuit of mastery that defined Dave.
生き方 (ikikata) means “a way of living.” For Dave, wrestling was more than a sport, it was a way of life. His signature lives on every Samurai Speed, carrying that same spirit and legacy onto the mat with every wrestler who wears them.
